How can I order? If you agree with our proposal, we ask you to digitally sign the quote. Once we receive your approval, we will contact you within two business days to discuss the quote. The order will then be processed and placed. If a measuring appointment is needed, we will contact you by email or phone.
How can I pay? When you place your order, we ask for a 30% deposit. You will receive an invoice for this amount. This amount must be deposited into our bank account within 5 days. As soon as we receive this payment, we will process the order. Approximately 7 days before delivery, you will receive an invoice from K14 for the remaining amount. This invoice must be deposited into our bank account before the delivery date. If you wish to pay the entire amount after placing the order, we will offer you a 5% discount on the entire offer. You must pay the amount within 5 days of placing the order. If you wish to use this discount, please let us know before accepting the offer.
When will it be delivered? As soon as your order has been confirmed by the supplier, you will receive an estimated delivery week from us. Please note that this may take some time. In the week before the delivery week, you will receive a track & trace email and SMS with the delivery date and time slot. You can track your order on the delivery day via this link. If this doesn't work for you, please contact us by replying to this email. Note: If your order includes installation, you will receive a separate email invitation to schedule the installation. You will not receive an estimated delivery week from us because our installation schedule precedes the order receipt.
How is it delivered? Products delivered by us will be handled with care. Many of our products are therefore delivered by our own transport service. To ensure efficient delivery, we ask that you be present at the agreed delivery address on the agreed day and time. If we cannot find anyone at this address, the products will be taken back to our warehouse. A new delivery time will be arranged, for which additional costs will be charged. You will receive an invoice for this, which must be paid in advance. We only deliver to the ground floor.
What are the delivery charges? We do not charge delivery fees. Kitchen fronts are delivered free of charge, except to the Wadden Islands. Delivery costs will be included in the quote. Products consisting of multiple packages will only be delivered complete. Products consisting of multiple packages will only be delivered complete. We only supply fronts for complete kitchens.
What are the delivery times? Our fronts are custom-made and therefore have a delivery time of between 8 and 12 weeks. Please ask one of our experts for the current delivery time. The lead time will be longer if we use a measuring and/or installation service. Exceeding or changing the delivery time does not under any circumstances entitle you to compensation. Any subsequent additions, agreements, changes, or commitments made by HOKEN Studio are only binding if confirmed in writing by HOKEN Studio.
What to do after delivery? Store your fronts flat until they are assembled. Fronts may warp if stored upright. Check that you have purchased the (correct) hinges. Our fronts are custom-made and cannot be returned.
Can someone help me with installation? If you purchase products from us, we can install them for you. If you would like to use this service, we will send you a quote with the cost of the installation service. Our planning department will send you an email with a link to choose your own installation date. The products are usually delivered one week before the installation takes place. Installation includes the fitting of the fronts, panels, and skirting boards. Connecting water and electricity is not included in our installation service. You will need to contact a plumber and/or electrician for this. The installation of complete kitchens, wall units, and other cabinets is not included in our installation service.
What do I do with old fronts and countertops after installation? Your old fronts will be professionally dismantled and disposed of free of charge, if desired.
What should you do if your products are damaged? We understand how frustrating it is when something goes wrong. We will do everything we can to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. It's therefore important to check your products for damage upon receipt. We ask that you check the products and submit any complaints within 8 days of receipt, even if the fronts are installed at a later date. If you discover any damage, please notify us. You can report this to the store where you purchased the products. Please include photos with your report so we can process your claim as quickly as possible.
How is damage handled? We take the necessary care to prevent damage. Once your damage has been reported to us and assessed, we will (if justified) resolve it as soon as possible. Because we provide custom work, this means there's a delivery time. This delivery time is approximately 8 to 12 weeks. We will, of course, do our best to expedite this delivery time so the damage is resolved as quickly as possible.
What about the warranty? Our custom-made fronts are designed to withstand years of daily use. That's why we offer a 10-year warranty on all our products against material and workmanship defects. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, nicks or scratches, or damage resulting from impact or accidents. This warranty does not apply to products that have been stored, assembled, or installed incorrectly, used improperly or improperly, modified, or cleaned incorrectly or with incorrect cleaning agents. This warranty does not cover incidental or consequential damage. Wood is a natural material and its color can change over time. Light-colored MDF fronts and panels also have a slight tendency to discolor with age when exposed to UV light.
How do I maintain the fronts? We recommend using a soft, lint-free cloth and a mild all-purpose cleaner for cleaning the products. Only use a cleaning product suitable for the material. Do not use cleaning products containing ammonia, alcohol, bleach, or abrasives. Wipe the product with clean water and dry it with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. If you accidentally spill any liquid, do not allow it to remain in contact with the surface but wipe it away immediately. Clean fronts with food residue or fingerprints as soon as possible. Black-stained or oiled fronts should never be vigorously polished or scrubbed. This will cause the stain or oil to wear off. We recommend cleaning wood veneer fronts after 14 days with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth, unless there are grease stains. Do not place appliances such as coffee makers or kettles directly beneath a cabinet element. The fronts and panels can be damaged by water vapor. This also applies to the dishwasher door and the adjacent fronts. Once a dishwasher is finished, we recommend keeping the door closed for at least 15 to 30 minutes. The heat inside the dishwasher will help dry your dishes. This keeps excess condensation inside the dishwasher, which is better for the cabinets and fronts. When the dishwasher is opened, a large amount of moisture is released, which can be harmful to cabinets, countertops, and fronts. This damage is not covered by the warranty.
What does the measuring service entail? Cabinets must be securely and levelly installed before the measuring visit. After the measuring visit, the situation may not be changed. This includes installing new flooring, plasterwork, curtains, lamps, or other items. If this prevents installation (in full), or if the cabinets lose their functionality, you will be charged for new materials or a second installation. The measuring service costs €99.
What does the installation service entail? Cabinets must always be secured and level before we install them. If cabinets are not secured and level, the fronts cannot be adjusted. If not all parts are present during installation to complete the process, an additional installation time will be scheduled. Please note that our installation schedule may be extended due to our delivery times for materials. The price of an additional installation time is calculated based on the number of hours and kilometers driven. If the additional installation time is necessary due to a (production) error by HOKEN Studio, it will of course be scheduled free of charge. We are not liable for costs incurred by third parties.
What are the types of materials?
PAINT The paint on our Paint fronts needs time to harden. Therefore, handle your new fronts with care initially and inform the person installing them. Always install the fronts on soft surfaces to prevent scratches or damage to the paint. MDF-painted fronts oxidize over time, which may cause some loss of color or gloss. In most cases, this process begins after about 12 weeks, but this can vary depending on the room. If you are expecting a second order, some difference may be visible in the first few weeks. Because a second order requires a new coat of paint, some color variation is inevitable. This is a characteristic of mixed paint and unfortunately unavoidable. MDF-painted fronts are standardly matte white on the inside.
WOOD Wood is a natural product. Therefore, colors and textures may vary within a production run or with a second delivery. The base oak color may vary between production runs. In addition, the oil may change slightly due to oxidation during the treatment of the fronts. This is unavoidable during the production process. Wait 14 days before cleaning wood veneer fronts, unless these are grease stains. After 14 days, the wood veneer fronts can be cleaned with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Oak and walnut cladding panels wider than 122 cm are installed horizontally due to the size of the material.
